March 21st is World Down Syndrome Day! We have two stellar students in the Olympia Transition Program with Down Syndrome, Angie & McKale. This day is all about raising awareness, promoting inclusion, and celebrating the amazing individuals with Down syndrome in our school and around the world. Did you know that we wear mismatched socks on this day to show our support? The different socks symbolize the beauty of diversity and remind us that being unique is something to celebrate! So if you see someone rocking colorful or mismatched socks today, give them a high five! At Olympia, we believe in acceptance, kindness, and inclusion—and today is the perfect day to reflect on how we can all do our part to make our school a welcoming place for everyone. Let’s take a moment today to appreciate the strength, kindness, and joy that individuals with Down syndrome bring to our lives. And remember—different is beautiful! 💛💙💛💙
