At OMS, the game was afoot on May 18th as 7th grade students solved the Case of the Birthday Bandit! In this year's annual 7th grade mystery hunt, Princess Ariel celebrated her 18th birthday with all of her fairy tale friends: Princess Merida, the Queen of Hearts, Gaston, Prince Charming, Queen Adira, Captain Hook, Tinkerbell, Ursula, and Maleficent. Unfortunately for Ariel's party plans, one of the guests invited broke into her bedroom and stole her prized music box! Students spent the day interrogating suspects, examining the crime scene, dusting for fingerprints, analyzing handwriting, and using their knowledge of scale, rate, and area to crack the case. Using all of their Spartan Skills and thinking critically, students were able to catch the culprit before the end of the day!
Students in Art 1 and 2D Art have displayed some of their best work in a virtual art show this year. Though they were unable to have a physical show this semester, students are proud to have their work seen online by the Olympia community. Visit the online gallery with this link:
