The students of Olympia that are in need of assistance with school supplies will receive a backpack full just in time for the start of school this year! The District collaborated with the Spartan Council and various local donors to collect tons of school supplies. They also received backpack donations from the Zachary Ryan Hawkins Foundation as well as the Minier Christian Church and other local donors. Volunteers from the Minier Christian Church spent one morning this week stuffing all the backpacks and getting them ready for the students. So many students are benefiting from this great partnership and will be excited to see all the goodies in the backpack they receive. The backpacks filled will be distributed to the students of Olympia West and Olympia North. The Atlanta Christian Church also holds their own supply drive and donates backpacks of supplies to needy families in the Olympia South area. We appreciate all the donations and volunteers that came together to make this event a great success!
