On Monday December 1st the Olympia Board of Education will hold a hearing to discuss the 2026 Tax Levy. The hearing will be held at Olympia South Elementary (103 NE 5th Street Atlanta) in the Music Room at 6:00 p.m.
The purpose of this meeting is to discuss the 2026 Tax Levy. The Olympia School District will be asking for tax extensions that will keep the district tax rate at $5.50. However, since the value of the property in the Olympia School District has increased by an average of 7.61%, the total tax extension request is a 7.52% increase from the 2025 Tax Levy.
