The energy in the gym tonight was electric, the hustle was unbelievable, and the volleyball was top-tier! We had an incredible turnout to celebrate our seniors, and both teams delivered dominant, straight-set sweeps over Delavan to mark the occasion!

OMS Girls Basketball is BACK in action this week

The Lady Spartans kick off the week at home tonight at 5:00 PM vs. Lincoln-Broadwell. We have a busy week ahead, and both teams are ready to keep competing, learning, and growing.

The 8th-grade team is off to a fantastic 6-1 start! They are playing well together, pushing the ball up the court, and bringing great defensive intensity. Their teamwork, effort, and ability to compete together have been fun to watch as they continue to build momentum throughout the season.

The 7th-grade team is embracing the process and getting better every day. While their 1-6 start isn't the record they hoped for, this group is gaining valuable experience, learning to navigate the game, and finding opportunities to grow with every practice and competition.

What an incredible day of volleyball! Both our JV and Freshman teams brought the energy, the hustle, and some seriously amazing plays to their respective tournaments today. 🏆 JV dominated and brought home the championship from the Fieldcrest Tournament! 🏆 Freshman showed out and took 1st place at the Farmington Tournament! From start to finish, both teams came ready to play and represented our school so well. We are beyond proud of the hard work, teamwork, and heart shown on the court today!

It’s been an incredible week for our HS cross country team! On Monday, the team met up at Spin Lake to tackle long runs and hill repeats, finishing off the hard work with a fun team meal! Today brought perfect PR weather for an afternoon meet at Detweiller Park, and the runners took full advantage: Mira and Ty both medaled with top-25 finishes! Juliet chopped over 30 seconds off her best time with a 20:43! Natalie shaved nearly a full minute off, finishing in 21:14! Kali ran over a minute faster than her previous PR with a 22:54! Kinsley kept her momentum going, shaving off even more time to hit 21:11! Noah broke sub-20 for the first time on the boys' side with an awesome 19:50! Everyone had a phenomenal race today, with almost every runner finishing within seconds of their season best. Next stop: Regionals at Eureka Lake next Saturday! Let’s keep it rolling, Spartans!

It was a tough, hard-fought battle on the road for both teams tonight, and unfortunately, things just didn't go our way. Nights like these are tough, but they only make us hungrier to get back to work.

The Girls' Swim Team delivered a strong performance in Charleston yesterday, taking first place with an impressive 90 points against Central Catholic (37), Charleston High School (4), and Springfield Southeast (1). Showcasing their hard work, the team captured top honors in 10 out of the 11 events.

The Olympia Boys & Girls High School XC teams had an awesome Saturday morning at the Sangamo Conference Championship in Williamsville, with both teams finishing 4th overall! Top Finishers: Mira placed 3rd in the girls race with a massive personal best of 18:24! Ty took 4th place in the boys race! Varsity Boys Soccer fought hard to a 2-2 tie last night as they traveled to East Peoria. Early goal coming off the foot of Sophomore Lawson Bowers to give the Spartans a 1-0 lead in the 10th minute, while Senior Jared Phares buried the tying goal in the 75th. Senior Kasey Salvator held down the net with another 17 save game. Boys return to action next week on Tuesday night for Senior night as they welcome Blue Ride for a 4:30 contest. Come out, be loud, and help support the boys!

Road sweep at Riverton tonight for Olympia Volleyball! All three teams played awesome volleyball and came home with wins.

Really proud of how all 3 teams fought hard and supported each other from the first serve to the last set. Great night for the whole program and looking forward to continuing to build on the momentum from tonight!

The Girls Swim Team put up a strong performance at last night’s triangular meet at PORTA! The team swam exceptionally well, finishing in a close second place just behind Macomb. Out of 11 swimming events, Olympia claimed first place in 8 of them! Way to go, Spartans!
