JVBB gets a nice win tonight vs Peoria Christian 4-2 in a well played game by both teams. Ethan Labelle gets the win and Rhett Alexander and Colby Maness also pitching well. Big hit doubles by Kam White, Kason Reed, & Ethan Labelle. C Maness, Ty Gale, Nolan Birky, August Long all had one hit apiece. Great team win. Lady Spartans soccer gets back on track last night as they beat Manual 3-1. Junior Elyse Eimer started the scoring while Junior Carrie Andris added 2 of her own for the year. With Junior Elyse Eimer's goal tonight, she has officially broke the career goal scoring record with 38 goals and counting. We are super proud of the efforts and work she has put in through the last 2 years and look forward to continuing to see her move forward. The girls return back to action Wednesday night as they welcome Riverton at home for a 4:30 kick off.

Thursday the Lady Spartans varsity softball battled the weather to defeat Limestone 13-11 at home. Today, the Varsity Spartans dropped a 0-3 decision at Lincoln. The Lady Spartans have a 3-3 season record. The JV girls improved to 2-2 defeating Lincoln JV 11-1.

Lady Spartans Soccer drop home game tonight to Meridian 2-1. The lone goal coming off the foot of Junior Elyse Eimer. Anna Johnson added 15 more saves to her season total. Girls return to action Monday night as they welcome Manual. Kick set for 4:30 pm.

JVBB gets a win vs Christian Life Academy 11-3. Pitching from Alexander, Maness, Labelle& Gale was solid. Defense played tough as well. Olympia Junior Varsity Spartans piled up nine hits in the game. Labelle and Stork each collected two hits for Olympia Junior Varsity Spartans. Maness, Stork, Gale, and Reed each drove in two runs for Olympia Junior Varsity Spartans. After a long day, with 2 phenomenal performances, Olympia High School has advanced to the IHSA State Final competition of Group Interpretation. Our GI placed 2nd at the Sectional with special recognition for our All Sectional GI Cast Members Grayson Rummel, Leo Durheim, Bella Galanos, Evelyn Emberton, and Mia Hardesty. While the Contest Play did not advance, they gave a stellar performance and Isabelle Stivers, Grayson Rummel, Campbell Rummel, and Ava Crebo were chosen as All Sectional Drama Cast! The cast and crew of Something Rotten will be performing at the State Final this coming weekend at Reavis High School!

For our last indoor meet of the season the Spartans traveled to Williamsville High School to compete at the Indoor Sangamo Conference Championships. The girls had a great meet with lots of PRs, SBs, and some top finishes. Charlee Durham started us off with a 1st place finish in the long jump with a season best jump of 4.99 meters (16’ 4.5”). She followed that up with a SB time in the 400 with a time of 1:06.23. Mira Kistner had a SB time in the 800 with a time of 2:30.63, this time got here a 4th place finish! Her fellow 800 runner Juliet Williams posted a PR of 3:00.97. Abby Bridgewater had a SB throw in the shot put, reaching the mark of 8.68 meters (28’ 5.75”). Our last running PRs of the day came from Madyson Bridgeforth in the 200 with a time of 29.64 and Makendra Kreichgauer had a PR 4x400 split time of 1:12.3. Great job to all of those that competed today and I can’t wait to see what outdoor season brings!

Softball Varsity and JV pick up road wins today vs Dee-Mack. Varsity with a 15-5 6-inning victory as the Lady Spartans pounded out 20 hits. JV with a 14-2 5-inning win. Varsity and JV will travel to Washington on Monday with both teams playing at 4:30 as part of a schedule change.
