The OMS wrestling team had a couple close duals in East Peoria tonight. We lost to Porta 45-46 and lost to East Peoria 41-54. Lots of good wrestling tonight, hoping to be able to clean it up a bit more tomorrow night at Kingsley. Big shoutout to Ryder Hankins who won his 100th career middle school match tonight. It's been awesome getting to see his success the last couple of years, and I'm excited to see what more is in store for him!

Congrats Lucy! Let's keep playing well!

Both JV and Varsity play at Mt. Pulaski tomorrow night.
Yesterday the OMS wrestling team attended Troy's "Best of the Midwest" Dual Tournament. The competition here is very tough every year and is a good chance to see different teams for us. We went 2-3 on the day, with two of our losses only losing by one match. Our wrestling was highlighted by Ryder Hankins, Corbin Phillips, and Zane Krehbiel going undefeated on the day. Overall the team wrestled very well and are showing great improvements on the year so far.
Today our OMS 8th grade volleyball team volunteered their time helping referee and work the score table for a local community program. This group of girls continues to represent Olympia with pride—not just on the court, but off the court as well. So proud of their leadership, service, and willingness to give back to the community!

The OMS wrestling team travelled to Williamsville today to wrestle Bloomington and Williamsville. We lost to a strong Bloomington lineup, but had some good takeaways to learn from. Before we could wrestle Williamsville, a transformer blew and the power went out. We didn't get to wrestle them, but we'll see them this weekend. Looking forward to our big tournament this weekend!
