PROGRAM SWEEP ALERT!
What a night for Spartan Volleyball — all three levels take down Riverton at home!
Both Varsity and JV battled back in the second set to secure 2-0 victories in front of an electric home crowd. Big service run from Virginia helped seal the deal in the JV match, while Gabby Frye and Myra Books came up huge from the service line for Varsity!
JV: 25-7, 26-24 | Freshman: 21-9, 21-18
Huge shoutout to our student section for bringing the energy — that Homecoming Week hype was unreal!
Next up: we hit the road Thursday to take on PORTA. Let’s keep it rolling, Spartans!




The OMS Lady Spartans Basketball teams traveled to Washington to face Metamora GS in their round robin matchups, and both games were thrillers!
The 7th grade squad battled hard to earn a gritty 19–17 victory, improving to an impressive 3–1 on the season. The 8th graders showed incredible determination, pulling off a clutch 27–26 win that came down to the final seconds — bringing their record to 2–2.
Proud of the fight and heart our Spartans continue to show every game! 💪🏀



Activities for Today


STATE BOUND! Kennadie Finchum punched her ticket to Fridays class 1A girls golf state match by shooting a career low 83. Kennadie placed 4th in Mondays sectional meet in a field that included over 100 athletes! Congratulations to Kennadie and a huge shout out to the entire girls golf team for an amazing season.



Today Dylan Nowaskie and Ethan Barnes both competed at the 1a Sectional at Jacksonville Country Club. Dylan didn't have the day he wanted but toughed it out and shot a 98. Big congratulations to Ethan Barnes who shot a 76, earning Top 5 honors and making it to the State Finals this Friday and Saturday at Prairie Vista! Go Spartans!






Today's Activities


Good luck today to Dylan Nowaskie and Ethan Barnes as they compete in IHSA Boys Golf Sectionals at Jacksonville Country Club. Both boys shot a 75 in Regionals to get to this point. Good luck and go Spartans!


Our Varsity Lady Spartans battled through a very competitive Pekin Invitational today, going toe-to-toe with some tough programs and forcing an exciting three-set match against Moline High School!
A huge shoutout to Palmer Scheets, who was voted to the All-Tournament Team by coaches from other schools in our pool — an awesome recognition of her hard work and leadership on the court!
Proud of the way this team continues to compete and grow each week. Can’t wait to see what’s ahead for the Lady Spartans as we enter the last few weeks of our regular season!




A scorching Saturday at Detweiller for the Peoria High Invitational, a perfect state meet practice! Even with a slim crew, our athletes showed up and left it all on the course.
A massive congratulations to Mira, not only did she smash her PR, running an incredible 19:14, but she also placed 20th overall in the competitive 1A/2A girls race!
Huge shout-out to all our runners who absolutely shattered their personal bests, joining Mira in achieving PR’s:
• Natalie crushing it at 22:41!
• Graham Walters dropping to an 18:26!
The competition was in attendance and definitely pushed us to a new level, Detweiller is a great PR course. So proud of the heart and grit shown today



The Spartans took on a tough Williamsville program tonight, and all three levels showed grit and hustle on the court. Varsity battled a strong squad and came up just short, with highlights including an impressive pancake dig from Grace Small that fired up the team!
JV: 13-25, 25-20, 13-15
Freshman: 18-21, 14-21
Next up, Varsity heads to the Pekin Invitational this weekend for their final tournament of the season — let’s keep the momentum rolling!

Our Lady Spartans hit the court against New Berlin last night and showed a lot of fight across all levels! Varsity came away with another conference win, edging out a scrappy team on the other side. A big moment of the night—a highlight pancake dig from outside hitter Brooklyn Nomnick!
JV: 19-25, 19-25
Freshman: 21-17, 21-2
Proud of the effort and hustle all around. Next up—we travel to Williamsville tomorrow night for another conference matchup!



The EPG Invite at Furrow Farms is known for being a straight-up beast of a course, with a really fun theme each year. This years theme was the movie Cars. Several teams had creative costumes which is what makes this race so much fun! Despite the challenging course the Oly girls persevered and made memories in the varsity and open races!
Huge congrats to Mira on a top-ten finish! She powered through the treacherous terrain for 10th place in the Varsity Girls race (21:54). The 3 mile course was a first for Natalie (26:16), Juliet (25:23), Leah (30:28) and Chloe (31:12). Every single runner left it all out there. We had a great time and built some serious toughness!

🏀 OMS Lady Spartans Basketball 🏀
The Lady Spartans came out strong tonight against Dee-Mack! 7th Grade picked up their second win with a great all-around team effort on the scoreboard. 8th Grade battled hard—knocking down shots, attacking the basket, and playing tough defense.
They’ll be back in action Thursday at 5:00 vs. Williamsville. Come out and support your Lady Spartans! 💙🩵🤍


A huge congratulations to the OHS girls golf team for placing 3rd at today's regional tournament and advancing as a team to sectionals! The Spartans were led by Lauren Hutchison shooting a career best 93, and placing 4th overall! Kennadie Finchum (95), Elyse Eimer (97), and Anna Johnson (101) contributed in the scoring for a team season low of 386. Freshman, Natalie Douglas also posted a career best round of 109. The Spartans will compete in the Sectional Tournament next Monday in Pontiac.




Today's Activities


OMS Girls basketball traveled to Corpus Christi for their season opener. 7th grade picked up their first win 22-19 with a great team effort. 8th grade played tough, but came up short 22-31. Home Opener tomorrow at 5:00 vs DeeMack.
