One of our 7th grade volleyball players, Laney, was recognized by an official for outstanding sportsmanship! We are so proud of the way she represents OMS Volleyball both on and off the court. Keep leading by example, Laney!

Our 7th grade team picked up a great win tonight, defeating Parkside! The 8th grade battled but couldn’t quite find their rhythm and came up short.
We’re right back at it tomorrow night at home versus Dee-Mack. Come out and support our Spartans!

Hi hey hello Spartan Community! 👋💙
Looking back at this season through these photos—most recently from our OHS crossover game and cheering in the high school gym to our emotional 8th Grade Night—my heart is just so full. I am incredibly proud of these girls and the hard work, spirit, and growth they showed every single day. 📣🌟
A season this magical truly takes a village, and I want to send a huge thank you to those who made it all possible, especially our cheer families and the OMS basketball programs:
• Kara Hereford for creating our amazing t-shirts! It's no secret if you need tshirts you need Kara's Kreations in your life.
• Coach Kensie, our new dance coach, for the wonderful collaborations each game with the wonderful OMS Dance Team.
• The OHS Cheer coaches & cheerleaders for helping us start a beautiful new tradition with our game overlap. 🏀🩵
• Darrell Dubree for capturing memories so perfectly with your excellent photos. 📸
• Beth Polley for your vision in bringing new traditions to life. ✨
• Our Athletic Directors for trusting me with this program and these athletes. 🤝
• Our custodians-Thank you for graciously helping with setup and teardown every single game, and for never judging me when I’m the last car in the parking lot! ❤️
I love our Spartan Community so much. Thank you all for a season I will never forget. I'm already looking forward to next year—because together, we can do anything! OMS is the best! 💙📣
Until next season,
-Coach J

Yesterday the OMS wrestling team attended Troy's "Best of the Midwest" Dual Tournament. The competition here is very tough every year and is a good chance to see different teams for us. We went 2-3 on the day, with two of our losses only losing by one match. Our wrestling was highlighted by Ryder Hankins, Corbin Phillips, and Zane Krehbiel going undefeated on the day. Overall the team wrestled very well and are showing great improvements on the year so far.
Today our OMS 8th grade volleyball team volunteered their time helping referee and work the score table for a local community program. This group of girls continues to represent Olympia with pride—not just on the court, but off the court as well. So proud of their leadership, service, and willingness to give back to the community!

Our OMS 8th grade team earned an exciting win tonight, defeating a strong Tri-Valley volleyball program! After a big comeback in the second set, the girls never let off the gas and finished strong. What a great display of grit, teamwork, and determination! The 7th grade team came up short in two sets, but we’re proud of the growth they continue to show each day. Keep working and building—great things ahead for both teams!

Last night, we celebrated our three 8th graders from the OMS Dance Team, along with the cheerleading and basketball teams! We are incredibly proud of everything they achieved this season and can’t wait to see all they accomplish throughout the rest of the year and as they head into high school next year. Congratulations, Lauren, Stella, and Emma!💙🪩🩵
