The Olympia Board of Education and the Olympia Foundation for Education are partnering to offer a future special education teacher a scholarship for their junior and senior year of coursework. This scholarship is for individuals that are earning a PEL for the first time. This is not intended for teachers that are returning to school to earn an additional endorsement. Each semester of tuition that is paid through the scholarship, equates to a year of employment by Olympia (after degree / PEL is earned). Failure to follow-through with the employment agreement will result in re-payment to the District for the tuition that was paid.
