Daily Announcements

Good Morning, Olympia Middle School

Today is Tuesday, January 23rd, 2018

Today’s announcements are:

Olympia is showing Spartan support for Central Illinois Down Syndrome Organization.   If you are interested in purchasing a Down Syndrome Organization T-shirt, order forms are in the office.

Scholastic Bowl T-shirt order forms are available in the Library.  Orders are due by January 26th.  See Mrs. Holmes if you have any questions.

The game is afoot!  The drama department presents the play Sherlock Holmes this Thursday after school (4:00, and, yes, you can ride the shuttle home!), and Friday and Saturday evenings.  Tickets are $5 for adults and $2 for students and will be available at the door.  So, what are you doing after school this week?  Elementary, my dear Watson!

Penny Wars!  The battle is raging, with 6th grade working hard to overcome a pretty heavy deficit!  8th grade has the potential to win it all--but only if they show up with more pennies!  Friday is the last day to add to the jars.    All proceeds go toward helping out our Olympia Family.  Remember:  pennies are positive points, but silver and bills are negative points!

There will be an informational meeting tomorrow Wednesday, January 24 during 8th hour in the cafeteria for any athlete or student interested in joining Olympia Middle School’s FCA. FCA stands for Fellowship of Christian Athletes and will meet every other Wednesday during 8th hour study hall. Come check it out if you are interested or talk to Mr. Renfro if you have any questions.

Lunch today is:

Spartan Burger on Bun

Or

Walkin’ Taco

Baked Beans

Romaine/Spinach Salad

Fruit, Juice, Milk

Have a Terrific Tuesday!

Good Morning, Olympia Middle School

Today is Monday, January 22nd, 2018

Today’s announcements are:

Our Spartans were amazing on Sunday at ICC.  The Spartan Special Olympic athletes competed in Basketball skills.  They had to shoot from 6 different spots, pass to a target and dribble for time and control.  We are proud of how every athlete participate to their best ability, and encouraged and cheered for others.  Dakota Birky received Gold and James Buck received Silver.
