Welcome to 8th Grade English I and II!

Mrs. Susan Springer

About Me:
I am very excited to be at OMS for the second year in a row! Even though I am fairly new to Olympia, I am not new to teaching. This will actually be my 8th year of teaching. I graduated from ISU (Go Redbirds!) in 2009, and I spent my first year of teaching at Orion High School. In 2011, I got married to a farmer and moved to Minier. For the next five years, I taught at Mt. Pulaski High School, then I started teaching at Olympia Middle School last year.

When I am not teaching, lesson planning, or grading, I like to spend time with my husband, Brian, and our rescue dog, a beagle-mix named Copper. I love to travel, scrapbook, read, watch TV and movies, go to the theatre, listen to music (country and musical soundtracks are my favorite), and spend time with my friends and family, including my six nieces and nephews. I absolutely love anything related to Harry Potter! To Kill a Mockingbird is my all time favorite book.
